CAS Thinking of You

Hi there,

I hope the sun is shining wherever you are today.  It's just trying to break through the clouds here.

I'm sharing a CAS card with you today that I've made for this week's challenge at 'Less is More.'  It's a colour challenge where you need to leave plenty of space with colour, rather then the usual white space, so here's what I've made:

I stamped the Daisy with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with a white embossing powder. I then used a paintbrush with bleach on to take the colour out of the petals.  It didn't go as white as I wanted it to so I used a little white ink lighten it up.  As it ended up more of a cream colour, I mounted my card onto cream card to co-ordinate.

The Daisy stamp is by Inkylicious and the sentiment is by Stamps Happen.

I hope to be back with you again soon, but until then, have a lovely weekend x

  1. Yes, sunshine here as well Sandra, such a lovely and welcome change and even had a coffee in the garden earlier, the wind was a bit chilly but so nice for a change.

Great resist stamping and pretty soft delicate colours.

  13. This is a pretty card Sandma and I love the technique you used on your flower, but white space should be plain base card, so that pretty coloured paper although fairly simply designed doesn't really count as white space according to our Guidelines!
It's quite a difficult concept to understand.
    Thanks so much

  14. A beautifully sunny autumn day here today in Oz, but the chill is creeping in by the evening. Had to visit your blog, Sandra, to check out your card - love that daisy image, and the soft background you created. Totally suits the sentiment - a lovely card!

  17. This is a super card Sandma. I think we are all learning a bit about the meaning of 'white space' on this challenge (myself included!). I do hope we see you again at Less is More next week.
