Stay Wild Revisited

Hello there,

It feels like ages since I've posted anything although it's only been a week.  I've not been around quite as much as I've been busy recently making some samples for an upcoming Crafty Individuals show on Hochanda.  I'll let you all know when the show will be on a little nearer to the time.

I'd like to share a card with you today that I've made for a family birthday.  It's a card using one of my favourite stamps by Visible Image:

I've made the background by stamping and spritzing various Distress inks onto my craft mat and then picking up the colour on my card.  I've added a touch of bleach here and there, and I think the result looks a little similar to when Distress Oxides have been used,  I don't have yet but they are still on my crafty wish list.  I've used a vanilla embossing powder as it doesn't look quite as harsh as white.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Such impact Sandra, the white against the hot oranges works wonderfully and see you also like the odd touch of bleach as well, it can work wonders can't it.

What a fabulous idea to use vanilla embossing powder instead of white, it makes the central image blend into your background so well. I love the achieved effects.
Thank you for joining in with the That's Crafty Rustica Blog Challenge.
Best Wishes Tracey.

You have been very clever here Sandra with your use of the distress inks - yes, with a little bleach you have yourself the perfect oxide! I agree, the vanilla embossing powder is the perfect choice - start making a Christmas wish list - have you been naughty or nice???? I think you've been more than nice - you've been FABULOUS!!!!!. I send you lots of love and a big well done!!! xxxxx
