Pink Elephants

Hello there,

I hope that you're all still enjoying the sunshine.  We seem to have missed all the thunder storms here that were supposed to happen, although it has been very muggy at times.

I had just about given up hope of getting this month's copy of Creative Stamping magazine when I managed to get a copy on a visit to York last week.  I love every single image on there and it's definitely one of their best sets of stamps to date.  As the magazine is now just a penny short of £9, I have to really like most of the stamps before buying it.  I bought this one without any hesitation as I knew that I would use the stamps again and again, especially for those hard to make masculine cards.  I've made four cards to date and I'd like to share one with you that I've made for a lovely lady that I know who's about to have a baby girl anytime now.  The Elephant image is wonderful but I wanted to do something a little different with it, so here goes:

The colours that I've used are all pinks, greys and lilacs as I think they work together really well.  Let me know what you think?

That's all from me for today and I hope to back with you all very soon x

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Allsorts - Baby, baby

Hi Sandra, absolutely gorgeous card, loving the elephants, well who wouldn't, but the colour theme is fabulous.
I'm the same regards the magazine, I have to really like the stamps, but managed to get these, just not done anything yet. Kate x

We have a lot of clouds and rain this week in Italy, so no sun for us :( But seems that the next week will arrive a hot Summer.
Love the colours combo you choose for these sweet elephants and the trees silhouettes ! Great scene!
Thanks for your lovely comment on my tea sets! :)

Fabulous card Sandra, love how you have used the stamps. I'm being more selective about the magazine too although I have to say that as the price has gone up so has the quality of the stamps! I'm defo not buying the latest one ,don't like any of the stamps in it.

This is gorgeous and the colours work so well Sandra and great for a new baby card. I saw this set but didn't get it because I do have some Sheena Douglass stamps with an African theme, but seeing this beautiful card I am regretting it now. x

Thank you Sandra for your visit to my Blog to say such nice things about my card. I also thought it was one of the very best collections of stamps that I had seen for a long time and I have it every month.
I love your card and pleased to see that you featured the Mother and calf as well. I am off now to study your 'Under the Sea' card. I have to make some 'Under the Sea' ATC's and am looking for inspiration. With very best wishes

This stamp sheet was fabulous wasn't it Sandra, I've used it twice so far already for "big birthday" cards with the "age is irr-elephant" sentiment! Fabulous colour choice again, xxxx
