Stay Wild

Hello there,

I do hope that you've all enjoyed the glorious weather here in the UK. I have to say that it's a little cooler today and I'm really enjoying the breeze.

I'd like to share a card with you that I've made using Visible Image's Stay Wild Stamp. It is definitely one of my favourites of theirs and I have a few that I made up using different colours. I made this one using Adirondack Cranberry. If you look carefully you can see how I've stamped the smaller horses around the main image:

I made the background by adding a a few different shades of pink and red onto my blending mat and then spritzing with water before pressing my card into it.  I love the new Distress Oxide inks but sadly, I don't yet own any, so I tried to achieve a similar effect by dabbing randomly with a touch of bleach.  It obviously doesn't give the same result but I'm happy with my background.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll be back with you all soon x

Favourite Stamp at Stamping Sensations

Hello there,

I really enjoy taking part in the Stamping Sensations Challenge but I had to think long and hard before entering this month.  Their challenge this time is to 'Use Your Favourite Stamp.'  Let's be honest here, that's like asking you to choose which one of your children is your favourite.........well maybe not quite the same ;)

After giving this some serious thought, I came to the decision that mine would probably be the 'Twiggy Branch' by Inkylicious.  I use this stamp so often to frame many my scenic images and here's the card that I've made for the challenge using that very stamp:

I went to the Stamp Magic show last Sunday and after many near misses, I finally got to meet the lovely Sally Holmes from the DT at Stamping Sensations.  If you're reading this Sally....Yes, I'm very sure that we have a similar stash of stamps :)  The Heron and the Moon stamps were part of my crafty purchases on Sunday and are also by Inkylicious.

Final Chocolate Baroque Challenge and more exciting news!

Hello there,

I hope that you're all enjoying the sunshine.

I'm here today to share a card that I'm entering into this month's final colour challenge at Chocolate Baroque.

The stamps that I've used are from the 'Wild Meadow' set and I've coloured the stamps with Distress inks.

I'd also like to share some exciting news with you all too.  I've had one of my cards published in the July issue of Craft Stamper magazine which came out yesterday.  The theme was Soothing Sunsets and here's a sneaky peak at part of my card:

The full card is on page 54 and I will post a photograph of the whole card once I'm allowed to when the next edition of the magazine is published.

Enjoy the sunshine and Happy Crafting!
