Rudolph Day February 18

Hello there on this very cold and snowy day.

I'm here a little later than usual with my 'Rudolph Day' post as I completely forgot about it but better late than never as they say!

The card I'd like to share with you today is made using a Penny Black stamp that I received for my birthday recently.  I'm a great fan of tree stamps and I just couldn't resist this one:

The background was made using Distress inks and Glycerine.  This is a new technique for me so I though I'd give it a try and I'm happy with the result.  I've added glitter to the snowy parts although it doesn't show too well in this photo. The Deer are by Memory Box.

I have a busy day today but I'll try to catch up with my commenting as soon as I can.  Until then, stay warm and happy x

It's All About The Light Bulb

Hello there on this Sunday morning,

I do hope that your weekend is going well and that you might find some time today to do something that makes you happy x

I'm here with a few more of my Inkylicious samples and I do hope that you're enjoying them.  The ones that I'm sharing with you today are made using the new 'Create A Light Bulb' stamps and the elements that can be used within it.  Here goes:

I've seen quite a few light bulb stamps around but I really like these are they are left empty so that you can choose to use other of your favourite stamps within them.  They also come with the elements and various inspirational words if you just want to keep them a little more traditional.  The first two cards are made using Brusho and stamps from the 'Create A Light Bulb Element' set.  The last card just had to be done as I just love the Winter Cabin stamp.  The background on this card was made using the 'Splatter Circle XL' stamp.  I've used Oxide Inks which I think give such vibrant colours and are just perfect for the Northern Lights.

As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed playing with these wonderful new stamps and the possibilities with them are endless.  I'll be back mid-week to share the last remaining few samples, until then, take care and be happy x

Inkylicious on Hochanda

Hello there, and I hope that you're all enjoying a happy and peaceful Sunday.

I would like to say a big thank you for all of your good wishes regarding my cold, you are all so very kind and I'm pleased to say that it's slowly improving.

I just wanted to let you know that Inkylicious will be on Hochanda today from 2 - 4pm.  It's been quite a long while since they've been on telly and I was thrilled when Deby asked if I could help out in making a few samples for their show.

I'd like to share with you one of my personal favourites today and I'll be back at some point soon to share more of my cards with you but just for now, here's a little peak at some of the lovely stamps that will be on today's show.

Enjoy the rest of you day and I'll be back soon x

Anything With Flowers at Stamping Sensations

Hello there my crafty friends,

It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and our theme this time is 'Anything With Flowers.'  Here's my card:

I started by stamping and embossing the BEAUtanical Lily by Bee Crafty.  I then coloured it using Derwent Inktense pencils.  The background was created by using various Distress/Distress Oxide inks and stencils.

We are very kindly sponsored this month by 'Bee Crafty' and the lucky winner will receive a £25 gift voucher.

I was lucky enough to meet Bev from Bee Crafty at the Stamp Magic show at Doncaster last October and she's such a lovely person, so friendly and just as you see her on telly.  It was really nice to be able to thank her in person for sponsoring our challenge.  It was also a good excuse for me to add a few Bee Crafty stamps to my collection.   If you've never tried them before, then I would definitely advise giving them a go.  I am really impressed with them and they leave such a good impression, fabulous packaging too.

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x

Published in Craft Stamper - February 18

Hello there,

Before I start this post, I would just like to say a big thank you for the many kind comments that I received on my Crafty Individuals samples.  I just wanted you all to know that your kind words are always very much appreciated.

I few months back, I was asked by Jean Hardy of 'Crafty Individuals' if I would like to make a couple of projects for 'Craft Stamper' magazine, and of course, the answer was yes.  Jean made a lovely box and there were two more beautiful projects made by my lovely Teamie Florence Langley.  Jean wanted us to use any of her tree stamps and the bird stamps that were recently released, other than that, it was left to us to create what we wanted to.  It's been so cold recently that I decided to create a winter scene and the stamps that I used were just perfect for this. Don't the sheep look right at home in the snow!

The background was made using Distress Inks and the stamps featured are:
CI-460,  CI-209,  CI-467

My Second Project
I wanted this project to represent the coming of spring and the warmer days ahead.  These colours here are very true, as the image in the magazine looked a little bleached out.
Featuring:  CI-453,  CI-478

The background was made using Distress Oxides, StazOn and tissue paper.  The back was made using Crafty Individuals paper, Versafine and white acrylic paint.

My thanks go to Jean for giving me this opportunity and to Craft Stamper magazine for featuring my two projects.

Wishing you a happy day and I'll be back with you on Sunday morning when we have a new challenge starting over at Stamping Sensations x
