Hello there,
Just a quick post from me to let you know that Jean Hardy from 'Crafty Individuals' is on Hochanda today at 8am and at 3pm. Lesley Wharton from 'Chocolate Baroque' is joining Jean too, so there will be some fabulous demos. I've loved making some samples for these shows and here's one that Jean showed a sneaky peak of yesterday:
This is one of my favourites and I hope you like it too.
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter x

Rudolph Day - March 18
Hello there,
I don't know if it's just me or is someone out there making all the clocks move faster? It's 'Rudolph day' again and if my calculation is right, then that's almost a quarter of the year gone already! Where is all of this time going?
The card that I'd like to share with you today is one that I've made before but I've changed the colour again and made it blue this time. Hope you like it:

Card for a Friend
Hello there,
It seems like ages since I blogged but the last couple of weeks have been busy ones with one thing and another. Crafty Individuals have a few shows coming up shortly, the first two being on the 29th of March, so I've been making some samples with their lovely stamps and papers.
It was lovely to see some sunshine yesterday and it actually felt like Spring had arrived. Then my hairdresser said that we are likely to have more snow over Easter.........Noooo, enough is enough! I'm ready for blue skies and a touch of sunshine now.
I thought I'd share a card with you today that I made for my blogging friend Leanne as it was her birthday a short while ago:
The Baroque Splatter Script stamp is by Crafty Individuals and the butterfly and sentiment are by Inkylicious. The background was made using Distress Oxide inks.
That's all from me today, so I'll wish you all a very happy and colourful weekend x

Heron Reflection on Black Card
Hello there,
How are you all today? Good I hope!
When Inkylicious were Hochanda last month, Emma did a fantastic demo of stamping onto black card, using white ink as a base for the colour. I loved the card so much that I've had a go at recreating it. My colours aren't as vibrant as Emma's were but I think that's because my white ink pad ins't as wet as it should be. Here's my offering:
The stamps and stencils that I've used on this card can be found on the Inkylicious web site.

Forest Friends at Stamping Sensations
Hello there,
It's time for our new challenge over at Stamping Sensations. The theme this month is 'Forest Friends' and what fun I've had making this card:
I love my 'Green Man' stamp from Make Your Mark in York but I don't get much chance to use it really, so this was a great opportunity. I started by stamping him with Impress Olive Green and then water colouring him before over stamping the image with Distress Walnut stain. Next, I used a Clarity mask to create more interest in the background. I created the hills before going on to colour the sky. I stamped the rabbits directly onto the card and the rest of the animals were stamped, coloured and then fussy cut. I think this gives them a little more dimension and I could place them where I wanted.
The trees and branches are stamps by Inkylicious and the animals came free with a craft magazine that I bought last year.
That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x
