Hello there,
I hope to find you all well and happy and enjoying the Summer Holidays.
It's time for some Mid Month Inspiration over at Stamping Sensations and I'd like to share another card with you using the stamp by Stacey Barras that I featured in my last Stamping Sensations post:
The previous cards that I featured were in peach and lemon colours and this one is all pinks and red. The sentiment is by Inkylicious and the roses are coloured with Distress inks and Inktense pencils. This isn't an over complicated card but I've really enjoyed just sitting and colouring the flowers as it's so therapeutic.
Take care and be happy x

Last of the Seaside Fun
Hello my crafty friends,
I'm here with the last of my Crafty Individual samples today. I do hope that you've enjoyed them. Here goes:
That's all from me today but before I go, I'd just like to say a big thank you for all of the lovely comments that you've left on my last few posts, they are, as always, very much appreciated x

I made this using lolly sticks and built up the border a little to create a frame. The idea was to make it look like the girls were in a wooden shelter
The two cards below didn't get shown but I'd thought I'd share them with you anyway:

Even More Seaside Fun
Hello there,
I'm here today to share a couple more of my Crafty Individual Samples but not many more to go now:
If you managed to catch the shows on Hochanda, you might have seen this one sat on the counter with the stamps and other goodies. I watched a video on You Tube before making this that showed you how to paint the incoming sea. I spent ages using white acrylic paint on the wave and I think I've managed to add some movement to it. I think this bit took me longer than the rest of the image put together! I cut up some brown card to make the fence and the was net around some lemons that I bought.
Next up is a shaker card. I used a sheet from the Crafty Individuals Seaside pad and then used various stamps on the paper, although they don't all show very clearly on this picture. With the exception of the stars, all of the shapes in the jar were stamped and then fussy cut out.
Not many samples left to show you now, so I'll be back with them in the next few days.

More Seaside Fun
Hello there,
I'm back again with a few more of the samples that I made for Crafty Individuals:
I was really happy with the sky on this one as I think it really captures the warmth colours of a tropical beach. I started by using Ink Dusters to colour my background. I then tore the bottom off the card to reveal the white paper which then became the incoming tide. Next, I stamped the palm trees using my stamp press which allowed me to build up the colours. I tore up some copy paper to make a stencil and used it to add the black hills. I laid the finished background over some Kraft card to create the sand. Finally, I stamped this gorgeous couple and coloured them before fussy cutting them out and adding them to the scene. I finished the card by adding the die cut balloon and stamping the starfish and the sentiment.
For this card. I used a sheet from Crafty Individuals 'The Seaside Book.' I created the background on a sheet of white card and then stamped, coloured and fussy cut out the Seaside Friends and then did the same with the deck chairs and the kite. I cut out the main focal image with a circular die to give the effect of looking through a porthole.
I'll be back to share a few more samples on Friday but until then, stay cool!

'Anything Goes With Your Current Favourite Stamp' at Stamping Sensations
Hello there,
It's time for a new challenge over at Stamping Sensations and this time, our theme is 'Anything Goes With Your Current Favourite Stamp.' Now, I know that I've said this before on more than one occasion but to me, asking me to choose a favourite stamp is like asking me to choose my favourite child...... impossible! I'm sure like most of you crafters out there, there is always one stamp that you really enjoy using, then you move on to another and then another. So I am sharing with you a card using the stamp that is one of my favourites at this time:
The stamp is designed by Stacey Barras at Crafters Companion and I've made lots of cards using it in many different colours. It's the sort of image that you can stamp a few at a time and the sit and colour them at your leisure. For this card, I've teamed it up with a verse by Inkylicious and a butterfly that I printed and then fussy cut out. I blended the background using Adirondack Peach Bellini and a little glycerin. The flower itself is coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils.
That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x

Seaside Fun
Hello there,
I'm here today to share with you a few of the samples that I made for the Crafty Individuals shows on Hochanda last week. With all the hot weather we've been experiencing here in the UK of late, the seaside theme was just perfect. I'm usually making Christmas cards in July, so this made a refreshing change:
That's all from me today but I'll be back with you tomorrow with a new challenge over at Stamping Sensations.

Rudolph Day - July 18
Hello there,
The card that I'm sharing with you today had been made for the 'Rudolph Day' challenge. It's running a week late this time as lovely Mo who runs the challenge has been away on her holidays.
All of the stamps that I've used today are by Inkylicious and the only ink that I've used is Adirondack Denim. If I had to nail it down, then creating a scene such as this is definitely my favourite sort of stamping. When I start, I only have a vague idea of where I'm going to end up, sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't! I'm quite pleased with how this one has turned out but I think it would have been over the top to have added a sentiment so I decided against it. That's another one made for my Christmas Card stash.
Take care and many thanks for your visit today x
