More Seaside Fun

Hello there,

I'm back again with a few more of the samples that I made for Crafty Individuals:

I was really happy with the sky on this one as I think it really captures the warmth colours of a tropical beach.  I started by using Ink Dusters to colour my background.  I then tore the bottom off the card to reveal the white paper which then became the incoming tide.  Next, I stamped the palm trees using my stamp press which allowed me to build up the colours.  I tore up some copy paper to make a stencil and used it to add the black hills. I laid the finished background over some Kraft card to create the sand.  Finally, I stamped this gorgeous couple and coloured them before fussy cutting them out and adding them to the scene. I finished the card by adding the die cut balloon and stamping the starfish and the sentiment.

For this card.  I used a sheet from Crafty Individuals 'The Seaside Book.'   I created the background on a sheet of white card and then stamped, coloured and fussy cut out the Seaside Friends and then did the same with the deck chairs and the kite.  I cut out the main focal image with a circular die to give the effect of looking through a porthole.

Featuring: CI-283, CI-397, CI-278, CI-344 and CI-496
All of these stamps can be found on the Crafty Individuals Web Site

I'll be back to share a few more samples on Friday but until then, stay cool!

I'd like to enter my first card into the following challenge:

These are all stunning Sandra using CI stamps and paper, and love the hot and fiery colours for the tropical beach scene, and the torn paper looks very realistic for waves hitting the sand, and love the background paper on the second with such wonderful fussy cutting for the deckchairs and kite, and then the pretty tag with a wonderful mixture of stamps, and the two different stamped and beautifully coloured couples work so well on all the pieces too. x

Love very much the scenes you have created for CI, they are all beautiful and sweet!! Great colours and papers used, as well obviously the wonderful stamps! It's difficult choose a favourite, perhaps mine could be the first one with that amazing sky and the realistic sand, but I'm very impressed also by the "porthole effect" of the second one and by the delicate feel of the last one, with the photo frame and the gulls... How dreaming it is!
Pinned all :)

One of my favourite Beatles songs and I love these stamps - and those fabulous bright colours! Glad I came back to check here as my original comment was made on my phone and like many others has disappeared! Love our caravan but an intermittent connection causes all sort of problems!! Thanks for joining us at Try It On Tuesday! Chrisx
