Let's 'Get Ready For Christmas' at Stamping Sensations

Hello there my lovely crafty friends,

It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and our theme this time is 'Get Ready For Christmas.'

Here's the card that I've made:

I stamped the Penny Black image with StazOn black ink and then masked off the snowy area to keep it white while I coloured in the sky with my Ink Dusters.  The inks that I used were Distress: Stormy Sky, Fossilized Amber and just a very light touch of Wilted Violet.  Once my sky was finished, I shaded in the piles of snow at the side of the field and stamped in a few birds by Inkylicious.  The sentiment that I've used was a freebie from a stamp show a couple of years back.  I created the snow laden branches with white acrylic paint.

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x

Such a tranquil scene using that lovely Penny Black image Sandra, the little touch of wilted violet really lifts the sky and draws the eye, great placement of the birds as well to 'round' the scene.

This PB stamped card is a stunner Sandra and makes such a serene winter scene, also love your soft blue sky with the beautiful yellow light, and the way you have added in the birds on the trees and in the sky. x

WOW...all my favourite things to stamp on a card! - especially the bare tree, which reminds me of Malton (where I'm from) and the countryside of Yorkshire. Lovely, you are on a roll gal!

I almost felt a bit cold by looking at this card; it looks just as it can be here in winter early in the morning; great scene again! Hugs, Gerrina

Hi Sandra,
I love your refined scenic wintery card, very beautiful and atmospheric.
I have to create more cards in this style too, using my large Penny black stamps or CI tree stamps perfect for that. Thank you for the inspiration :)
I would love joining in your challenges again, just missing time to play into challenges most of the time now.... But if I can this time, or as soon as possible, I will do it.
Enjoy your crafting time at doing Christmas cards maybe today again!

A stunning scene, Sandra! Reminds me of the view from the back garden of the cottage we stayed at in the Fens (Big skies, a flat horizon and a lone tree!) I love it!
