Snow is Falling

Hello there my Crafty friends,

I'd like to share a card with you that I've made using my Visible Image 'Snow is Falling' stamp set.  I love Visible Image stamps and I'm building up my collection of them slowly but surely.  As the weather here in the UK is quite chilly at the moment, I thought that this card would be quite appropriate for a Winter theme.  Here it is:

I've used Distress Oxides in the background and then heat embossed the snowflakes.

I apologise if I'm not around much over the next weeks but I have my Son and both of my two Grandsons awaiting surgery.  It just seems to be an endless round of hospital appointments for x-rays and MRIs at the moment and I'm spending more time than usual looking after my Grandchildren, so not much time for crafting.   I have to admit that 2019 hasn't got off to the best start for me with one thing and another and I'm sadly not feeling very inspired at the moment but I'm sure that won't last forever as we all have the loss of Mojo from time to time don't we.  Keep up the good work my crafting buddies and I'll try to visit you all when time allows.

Wishing you all lots of colourful and happy crafting x

Mid-Month Inspiration - January 19

Hello there,

I'm here today so share with you a card that I've made as a little mid month Inspiration over at Stamping Sensations for our 'Fabulously Feminine' theme.  Now I have to say that I was first inspired myself by a gorgeous card that my lovely crafty friend Avril made last year.  I loved everything about Avril's card and I have to say that I've made quite a few of them since, all in different colours.  Here's the one that I've made for this month's challenge:

I used Distress Oxides in the background and the music and sentiment stamps were freebies from Creative Stamping Magazine last year.  The gorgeous dancing lady is by Flonz Craft.

That's all from me for now,  so whatever you're doing, I hope that you have a wonderful day x

We're Fabulously Feminine at Stamping Sensations

Hello there my crafty friends,

It's lovely to be back with you all at the start of a new year, and who knows what this one will have in store for us all.  Needless to say, I'm sure that it will whizz round as soon as all the others and we'll be on with the Christmas cards again before we know it!  :)

I'm here today as it's time for our first challenge of the year over at Stamping Sensations.  Our theme this time is 'Fabulously Feminine,' so we're looking for any cards that would be suitable for a lady, so plenty of scope there for you.  Please just remember that we are a stamping challenge and that's what we want to see.

Here's the card that I've made as a little bit of inspiration:

The main focal stamp that I've used is one that I've had for years by 'Stampendous.'  I still think it's a really beautiful stamp and I've used it so many times and I never tire of using it.  I stamped it using VersaFine ink and then heat embossed it to avoid smudges.  I then water coloured the image using Distress inks.  I used my Ink Dusters on the background and then I used various stencils to add some interest.  The sentiment that I've used is by Inkylicious.

Our prize for this month is something little different and its a 'Stamp Lucky Dip.'  This means that the winner will receive a random selection of ten stamps by different makers.....  How fabulous is that!

We would really love it if you could join us with a piece of your artwork featuring this month's theme but please remember that Stamping Sensations is a 'STAMPING' challenge, so we must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artwork, this means: Stamping must be the central point of attention and interest.

All the details of our challenge rules can be found here

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x
