Here are the last two samples that I made for Crafty Individuals shows on Hochanda:

I apologise that most of my recent posts have been very short and scheduled but I just haven't had as much free time as I would have liked, so thank you for staying with me and I promise that I'll make up for it as soon as I can.

Take good care of yourselves and I hope that life will treat you kind until I’m with you next time x

A couple of Christmas cards and some Happy News

Hello there,

The good news is that my little Grandson Jack had his surgery this morning and everything went well.  He was discharged this afternoon and is now resting at home with Mum and Dad.  Phew... what a relief that is and I feel like a little of the weight has been lifted as it's one less thing to worry about for now.

Onto crafty things now.....

I was looking through my blog earlier as I try to keep everything as up to date as I can and I realised that I never posted the two cards that were published in the January edition of Craft Stamper, so here they are:

I would like to add the first card into Scrappy Mo's Rudolph Day Challenge.

That's all from me for today but I'll be back on Sunday with my last two Crafty Individual samples for their February shows.

Take care of yourselves and I wish you all a very happy weekend x

It's time for some mid month inspiration over at Stamping Sensations and I'm here today with the card that I've made:

Our theme this month is 'All Things Bright and BEAUtiful' and so I've made a nice, bright Brusho background and then stamped on it using a Bee Crafty Bird and butterflies and the sentiment is by Visible Image.

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x

A Little Bird Told Me

Hello there,

Just a short post to share with you a couple of samples that I made for the Crafty Individuals shows that were on a the beginning of the week.  The bird stamps that were on are absolutely fabulous and I was just blown away by the samples that my very talented teamies made.   What an amazingly creative bunch they are.  Here Is one of the cards that I made:

It doesn't show too clearly on the photo but I shaped the Robin and used silicone glue to give him some dimension.

This one using and older CI stamp and papers

I absolutely adore the little Robin which is one of Jean's new stamps and I'm sure that he will get lots of use on this year's Christmas cards.  I'd also like to add this card to the
Craft Stamper - Anything goes

I hope to be back at the weekend with a couple more but until then.... be happy xxx

'All Things Bright and BEAUtiful' at Stamping Sensations

Hello there,

Before I start today's post, I'd just like to thank you all for your kind words regarding my last post.  Things are still full on but I'm trying to put things into perspective and to look on the positive side.  I'm so grateful for the medical care that my loved ones are receiving and the NHS have been outstanding in all cases so far.  My Grandson Jack will be the first one to have his surgery next month and my Son is just awaiting the results of an MRI that he had on Wednesday.  My youngest Grandson Harry who has just turned two will be having surgery in the early summer and that will be major surgery, anticipated to last around eight hours.  I'll let you know how things go on nearer to the time and just try to concentrate on crafting until then.  I haven't spent much time in my craft room recently but I have been enjoying the inspiration on Pinterest, so hopefully, I'll soon be back crafting again very soon.  Moving on now...…..

I’d like to remind you all that the lovely Jean Hardy from Crafty Individuals will be on Hochanda tomorrow at 4pm and again on Tuesday at 10 am. She has some fabulous stamps, both old and new, so I hope you’ll be able to join her.  I’ll try to get some of my samples posted in the next couple of weeks. Note for Sally Holmes.........you won’t want to miss this one! ;)

Okay then, finally moving on to the task in hand. It's time for a new challenge over at Stamping Sensations and our theme this time is 'All Things Bright and BEAUtiful.'

I love to see a beautiful sunset in all it's glory and so I decided to go all out bright and beautiful. I started by creating a background using my Brushos.  These give such vivid colours and I just love how random they are.  Take a look at my finished card:

The sentiment that I've used is by Visible Image and the butterfly is by Bee Crafty.  Having stamped the sentiment and the butterfly, I decided that I wanted to create a bold frame for my card and so I used the very edge of another Bee Crafty stamp, the large BEAUtanical Lily.  I think this worked really well and I just gave the flowers a touch of red and orange to draw the viewers eye into central image

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x
