Happy Days Are Here Again

Hello there,

I hope that you're all keeping well and happy.  Autumn is definitely winging it's way in here in the UK and our friends over the other side of the world are just starting to enjoy their Spring.  The world keeps on turning for us all doesn't it.  I've really grown to love the changing of the seasons as I've got older and each one brings with it it's own beauty.

I'm here today to share a card with you that I had published in the September edition of Craft Stamper magazine.  I was asked by Jean at Craft Individuals if I would make something with a seaside theme and I was very happy to help her out.  Here's my card:

The background was made using Olive Green Brushos and I used the same colours to water colours the parts of the card that I needed to.  I tore up strips of painted card to create the waves and to give the card some texture and movement.  The individual elements on my card have all been stamped, coloured and then fussy cut before using them to create a scene.  The stamp of the girls running into the sea is a favourite of mine as it congers up such a feeling of joy.

Take care and I hope to be back with you all soon x

It is really beautiful Sandra, looks to be a really gorgeous Winters day (kidding) The sky and the sea are fabulous, great images and a super DP, like the way you have edged it with the turquoise ink.

WOW ...oh WOW!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! Your scene is just a joy for the eyes, I enlarged the picture to look better (and pinned immediately :D ) Brilliant mix of stamps and amazing colours!! LOVE so very much your stunning waves made with the torn paper!!! All looks so happy and perfect assembled... a lot of pieces that work so well together, this card is really amazing!!! Your fussy cut is just perfect! That big postcard with the flying gull is a catch eye, and all the details are wonderful!! There is a lot of harmony in your work, it seems to could smell the salt air and to hear the waves, the girl's laughters... Just magical! :) The wonderful frame compliments the scene very well! I can't stop to look at your card!!!
Big congrats for the publication of your piece of Art, so well deserved!!!

I'm thinking if their weather is like today they might was a bit more clothing on Sandra, but as you rightly say Autumn is here and today it's so cold, 14deg here. That green Brusho colour works very well for the sea and a lovely stamped background as well.

This is beautiful Sandra and love the seaside theme and the way you have done the waves, such a great idea to tear so the edges look like the wave tops, and the colours are terrific. I also love the shell background framing the topper. A stunning card and congratulations on it being in the September Craft Stamper magazine. x

This set is one that still is one of my many favorites from CI...and it is good to see it again used in a different and beautiful way! The article was a beautiful one (saw it in paper when my copy finally arrived)! That border you created is such an effective and stunning one-one to try once myself...- And the waterwaves look so good! What a beautiful card Sandra! Hugs, Gerrina
