Hot, Hot, Hot!

Hello there on this rainy, Sunday afternoon,

Well I have to say that I can't believe the difference between yesterday and today's weather.  Yesterday I was out walking and having a picnic in a local country park with my family and today I've been in my craft room as it's been raining for most of the day.  I think we've been quite lucky this year here in the UK as we've had plenty of sunshine, so no complaints from me.  The trees looked stunning yesterday and there's no doubt that Autumn is upon us.

I apologise for my lack of blogging of late.  Family life has been really busy and in other news, I start a new job next week.  I left my office job five years ago to look after my two young Grandchildren but now that my Daughter is at home again full time, I needed to look out for something else to keep me occupied.  I'll be working three days a week in a school office, so plenty to keep me busy.... wish me luck!

I've neglected my card challenges of late, so I'm here today with a card that I've made:

The background was made by sprinkling Brushos on my craft mat and then spritzing them with water before pressing my card into them.  This gives more of a smoother, inky effect than using them directly onto the card.  I stamped the stags onto the card and then I used a mountain stencil to ground them.  I also used a stencil for the sun.  All of the stamps that I've used today are by Inkylicious.

I would like to add this card into the following challenges:

Try It On Tuesday - Hot, Hot, Hot
Penny Black and More - Animals

Good luck with your new job, Sandra!! I know well what busy is life with work and family... I have been very busy too, this last week!
Your scene is just gorgeous, wow!!! Such fabulous background, thanks for sharing how you have used brushos for this stunning result!! I will try, one day! The stags silhouettes look amazing and just LOVE the grass with the purple flowers and the fading mountains! Your scenery are always a joy for the eyes!
The weather is the same here in Italy. Yesterday sun and hot, today a lot of rain and cold air. Climate challenge are global :(

Now I wonder Sandra, will that new job allow you to have crafty goodies on your desk? I often wonder what people at the other end of the phone would think if they could see what I'm actually doing some days, but there again my boss is hubby! But I really do wish you good luck and hope you soon fit back into the work routine.

Your card for Penny Black and More is glorious with those rich warm colours, a perfect backdrop for the lovely Stags, thanks so much for sharing.
