Mid-Month Reminder - January 2020

Hello there,

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over at Stamping Sensations' and our theme this month is 'Favourite Stamps.'  I have so many stamps that I absolutely adore and the one that I'm sharing with you today is one of my go-to favourites as it can be used for so many different occasions.  It's a quite a simple stamp but I always feel that it looks really elegant and it can be using in so many different ways.  I enjoy stamping it with a very pale ink and then colouring to get a water colour effect or stamping it against a colourful background simply with black ink.  The card that I'm sharing with you today has been stamped with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed in white.  I've then coloured the image using white ink and then used coloured pencils over it to add so colour.  It's quite simple but I think the white against the Kraft card looks really effective.  The stamp is from Crafters Companion and the sentiment stamp was a freebie from a magazine.

That's all from me for now, so I'll wish you a happy and peaceful day x

Say It With Flowers

Hello there, how are you all today?

I'm very well, happy and busy at the moment but good busy.  I'm working very hard on a healthier lifestyle and I've been enjoying some lovely walks.  Today started with one of the most amazing sunrises that I've ever seen, followed by a lovely walk.  We walked round a local dam and saw, herons, swans, ducks and lot's of squirrels.  Walking in the early morning is my favourite time as it's much quieter and you can really appreciate the nature around you.  Anyway, enough of that now and onto the card that I'd like to share with you today.

I've cut out the corner using a Tim Holtz die and the stamp that I've used to stamp the flowers is one of my favourites, it's by Crafter's Companion and drawn by Stacy Barras.  I have used it so many times and it's a great for all occasions and in all colours.  I've coloured it with various inks and with Inktense pencils.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend x

Favourite Stamps

Hello there,

Welcome to our very first challenge of 2020....how incredible does that sound?   I doesn't seem like two minutes since we were celebrating the Millennium does it!

To kick off this year, our theme this time around at Stamping Sensations’ is 'Favourite Stamps' and I know that we all have plenty of those don't we ;)  Maybe it's an old favourite or a new one that you've added to your stash at Christmas, so get those stamps and inks out and join us.

Here's the card that I've made:

This stamp was brought out last year by Crafty Individuals and I just love it.  Its a great stamp to use on background as one that can be used to make a really quick card by adding to a pre-coloured background as I've done here.  My background was created by using Brushos which I absolutely love as their colours are so vivid.  I've picked out certain elements and then stamped them onto white card just to give a little contrast.  I've done this card in lots of different colours, so as you can see, It really is one of my
