Rudolph Days - April 2021

Hello there my crafty friends,

I'm here today with my contribution to this month's 'Rudolph Days' challenge:

The stamp that I've used on this card is by 'Crafty Individuals and I've water coloured it using my brush markers.  I then used a die to cut out the wreath and mounted it onto so red card to give it a festive feel.

Why not join in if you can as this is such a lovely, friendly challenge as Mo and her DT would be very pleased to see you.

Take care of yourselves and I'll be back with you all again very soon xx

Stampscapes Meet Inkylicious

Hello there my crafty friends,

It's been a while since my last post but the weather has been glorious this week and so we've taken advantage of it, having lots of lovely walks.  On Tuesday, we walked just short of nine miles, so as you can imagine, I slept well that night!  Im also busy making my next lot of samples for Crafty Individuals, so if I'm quiet over the next couple of weeks, that is likely to be the reason why.

Now the reason that I'm posting today is to share a card that I've made today using my brand new Stampscape stamps that I won in a recent FB challenge over at Ink Art Designs.  It's a lovely little friendly group run by the very talented Dot Leathbridge.  I was a great admirer of Dot's work when I first started stamping and we were on the same DT at 'Fashionable Stamping' challenges for while.  I was always excited to see Dot's makes as they were always stunning and she loves her ink as much as I do.  A few years back, Dot decided to start up her own buisness at Ink Art Designs. It's in Australia, so a long way from us here in the UK but still a fabulous online shop to visit with some amazing stamps.  If you get chance, why not pop along and take a look for yourselves as it's well worth a visit.  Here's the first card that I made yesterday:

Now if I had to sum up myself as a stamper, then this would be it.  I love using different types of stamps but my strength definitely lies in scenic stamping.  I've been a fan of Inkylicious stamps for years now and designed for them on a few occasions when they had shows on Hochanda, so a few of their stamps, the mountain, boat and sentimnent seemed to be the perfect match for my new Stampscape stamps.

I'm absolutely thrilled to bits with my new stamps and I would like to say a really big thank you to Dot for being kind enough to post them from the other side of the world.  I can't wait to try them out in different colours and to make different scenes with them.  The are just so easy to use and the end result looks great, even if I do say so myself! ;)

Right then, that's all from me for today as I'm visiting family this morning for a garden visit, then I'm going to make some homemade wine but that's a story for another day.

Take care of yourselves and stay safe xx

Christmas Rainbow

Hello there,

Yes, I know that I shouldn't really be mentioning the 'C' word in April but I'm here today to share a card that I've made for the 'CAS Christmas Card Challenge.'  Their theme this time is 'Rainbow.'  I've made my card using stamps by Crafty Individuals and the sentiment stamp is by Inkylicious.

That's all from me for today but I hope to be back at the weekend to share a few more of my latest CI samples with you.

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Try It On Tuesday - Make A Rainbow

Moving Along With The Times - Birds/Animals

Take care and stay happy xx

CAS Paper Piecing

Hello there my crafty friends,

I'm here today to share a card that I've made with a couple of challenges in mind.  the first one is for this month's 'CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.'  Their theme this time around is 'Paper Piecing.'

Now I have to admit that this isn't something that I do a lot of, so I've been thinking about which of my stamps I might use for this challenge and this beautiful flower by Visible Image seemed like the perfect choice as it's a fairly easy one to cut out.  It's one that I've only bought recently, so I'm still enjoing playing with it. I stamped the flower for a second time onto plain white card and then used an Inkylicious text stamp to add a little more interest.  As this is a CAS challenge, I've only added the two smaller flowers and a sentiment.  I made the background by using Distress Oxides.

The second challenge that I'd like to enter this card in is over at 'Pixie's Snippets Playground.'  It's a fabulous challenge and it's been ages since I've been for a play there but it's their 400th challenge, so how special is that! Many congratulations to Di who runs the challenge and offers inspiration on what to do with those little snippets that we all have.  My snippet on this card is the second piece of card that I stamped and then cut out.

That's all from me for today but I hope to be back with you all soon, so until then, stay safe and take care xx

Love Is Eternal

Hello everyone,

Here's another one of my samples that I made for Crafty Individuals shows on The Craft Store last Friday.  This one features the beautiful 'Alice Palace' stamps and aren't they adorable.  As soon as I saw the stamp, I knew that I wanted them sitting in the moonlight.

                                                      Featuring CI-372, CI-495 and CI-361

Just a short post from me today as I've just finished decorating and a nice hot bath is calling!

I'd like to add this card into the following challenges:

The Library Challenge - Alice's Adventures In Wonderland

Moving Along With The Times -  Animals/Birds

Happy Easter - 21

Hello there and how are you all doing today?

I hope that the sun is shining for you wherever you are.  Hubby and I were out for a walk first thing and it was quite cool then but the sun is shining now, so let's hope that it lasts.  We go out walking most mornings and it's been lovely to slowly watch spring starting to appear.  One week, there were no buds on the trees and the next, they were all full of them and the snowdrops, daffodils and numerous other plants have been an absolute joy to behold.

The card that I'm sharing with you today is from my latest set of samples for Crafty Individuals and I thought that it would be appropriate for today.

This is such a sweet little stamp and although it did originally have a happy birthday sentiment on it, I cut that part off, so it could really be used for lots of different occasions.  This is one of Crafty Individuals older stamps but it's lovely one.  Talking of Crafty Individuals, Jean's first show at 10am today was a sell out, so it would seem that many of you are loving the new stamps.  There is a second show on this afternoon at 2pm on 'The Craft Store' (Hochanda) so I'm looking forward to watching that.

Right then, I think I may do some crafting this afternoon, so I'll love and leave you for now.  Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend and I hope to be back with you all again soon xx

I'd like to add this card into the following challenges:

Moving Along With The Times - Animals/Birds

The Library Challenge - Alice's Adventures In Wonderland

Country View Challenges - The Birds And The Bees

Burglar Cats

Hello there,

Just a quick post from me tonight to remind you that lovely Jean Hardy from Crafty Individuals will be on The Craft Store (Hochanda) tomorrow at 10am and 2pm.  There are some quirky new stamps on and some much loved older ones too.  Here’s a sample that I’ve made using one of the new stamps:

That’s all from me for today but I’ll be back with you all soon to share a few more samples xx
