CAS Paper Piecing

Hello there my crafty friends,

I'm here today to share a card that I've made with a couple of challenges in mind.  the first one is for this month's 'CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.'  Their theme this time around is 'Paper Piecing.'

Now I have to admit that this isn't something that I do a lot of, so I've been thinking about which of my stamps I might use for this challenge and this beautiful flower by Visible Image seemed like the perfect choice as it's a fairly easy one to cut out.  It's one that I've only bought recently, so I'm still enjoing playing with it. I stamped the flower for a second time onto plain white card and then used an Inkylicious text stamp to add a little more interest.  As this is a CAS challenge, I've only added the two smaller flowers and a sentiment.  I made the background by using Distress Oxides.

The second challenge that I'd like to enter this card in is over at 'Pixie's Snippets Playground.'  It's a fabulous challenge and it's been ages since I've been for a play there but it's their 400th challenge, so how special is that! Many congratulations to Di who runs the challenge and offers inspiration on what to do with those little snippets that we all have.  My snippet on this card is the second piece of card that I stamped and then cut out.

That's all from me for today but I hope to be back with you all soon, so until then, stay safe and take care xx

I rarely use paper piecing too, even if it is a lovely technique. Thanks for remembering it to me :) Yor CAS looks very pretty with the script on the white flower, simple but so effective!

A beautiful background to accompany that really pretty VI flower Sandra, and perfect for the CAS Mix Up challenge. A great idea to stamp the script and then use that to paper piece the flower, and it stands out perfectly from the background too. x
