A Delicate Butterfly

Hi there,

Just a quick post from me today to share a card that I've made for the challenge over at 'Try It On Tuesday' and their theme this time is 'Butterflies.'  Here's my card:

The stamp that I've used is one of my favourites by Crafty Individuals.  I decided that for this card, that I would use warm colours, so I opted for yellow and pink.  The thing that I love about this stamp is that it can be made to look quite delicate or you can go mad and throw loads of ink at it and it turns out great every time.  As you can see here, I stamped the butterfly for a second time before fussy cutting it and adding it to my card.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you again on Tuesday xx

Sunset Tree Reflection

Hello there,

I'd like to share with you a card that I made earlier this week using a reflection stamp by Crafty Individuals.  It's one that I designed for them last year using one of their existing tree stamps:

This stamp is so easy to use, even if I do say so myself.  It's just a matter of stamping and embossing the trees, then adding whatever type of background you prefer.  I love my sunsets, so that's what I've opted for on this card.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend and I hope the sun shines for you xx

Rudolph Day - May 21

Hello there,

Wow, it's only when I start putting my post together for the 'Rudolph Days' challenge that I realise how quickly the months are flying by.  This time next month, we'll be half way to Christmas, so it's a good job that we're getting ahead with our cards.  I don't know about you but I hate that last minute panic.  Enough said, let's get onto the task in hand which is the card that I've made for this month's challenge:

The card that I've made this month was inspired by a card made recently by my Crafty Individuals Teamie, Dena Rangely.  I love Dena's layout and each card can be made to look different, just by changing the colour of the parcels and scarves.  The stamps were birds that originally had long legs on but by removing the legs, they can easily be turned into quirky snowmen.  All the stamps that I've used here with the exception of the sentiment are by Crafty Individuals.

Stampscapes with Northern Lights

Hello there on this Sunday morning,

I mentioned recently that I'd won a set of Stampscape stamps at a card challenge at Ink Art Designs and I'm absolutely loving them.  Here's another card that I've made with them:

As you can see, I've inked some 'Northern Lights' in the background and as it's an evening scene, I've splattered on some stars.    The little fisherman in the foreground is by Inkylicious.  I'm sure that this won't be the last as I can't seem to put them down, so there may be more to see in the future.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend and I hope that the sun shines for you xx

Rainbow Cats

Hello again,

Haven't I done well blogging three times this week,  I'll probably need a sit down!  lol ;)

I realised earlier this week that I still have quite a few samples that I haven't shared on my blog, so I'll try and rectify that inbetween the other things that I post.  I'm really enjoying entering different card challenges lately as I find that they can take me out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing every now and again.

Here's the card that I'd like to share with you:

Featuring cats from CI-570

The stamp that I've used is just a pair of cats that I've masked off to create a DL card.  All the stamps and the background paper that I've used are by Crafty Individuals and it was the background paper that inspired this card.  It's so colourful, so I thought that I'd create a row of cats in rainbow colours.  I finished by adding the three blue stars as I thought they just finished the card off.

Okay, that's all from me for today, so I hope that you all enjoy your weekend and I look forward to having a look at your blogs to see what you've all been up too xx

Sympathy

Hello there,

I'm here today to share a card that I'd like to add the challenge over at 'Make My Monday.' Their theme this time is 'Sympathy.'  It's the one card that none of us card makers like to make.  I tend to have a few in my stash as I find it much easier to make them when I don't actually need them.

For this card, I used an embossing folder for the sentiment (Sorry, I can't remember who it's by) and the stamp is by Inkylicious.

That's all from me for today but I'd like to wish you all a very happy day, whatever you're doing xx

I'd like to add this card into the following challenges:

Friendship

Good morning,

I hope that you're all enjoying the weekend so far and that the weather has been kind.

I'm here today to share a card that I've made recently and as you can see, the sentiment is about friendship.  We all have friends, some may be around us all the time and some only now and again but it's always good to know that you have a good friend when you need one.  I've made some great crafty friends since starting my blog and I never underestimate how much their friendship means to me.  Anyway, with that in mind, here's the card that I've made:

All of the stamps that I've used here today are by Chocolate Baroque.  I made a Distress Oxide background then stamped the main image with black VersaFine.  To give the card a little dimention, I stamped a couple of the flowers again and also the buttefly.  I always seem to do this when I stamp butterflies but it really brings them to life.

Right then, that's all from me for today and I hope to be back with you all again soon xx

We Will Always Have Paris

Hi there,

It's almost the weekend and I'm sneaking in with a quick post to share a journal page that I've made for this month's challenge over at Country View Challenges.  Their theme this time is 'We Will Always Have Paris.' Now I had to think long and hard about this one and as I don't have many Parisian stamps, so I decided to make a background and use the ones that I had. Here's what I've made:

Most of the background stamps are by Inkylicious, the Paris sentiment is by Stampedous, the Eiffel Tower is by Crafty Individuals and the gorgeous lady is one of Time Holtz Runway Girls.  If you're reading this Viv, then thank you very much for letting your girls have a holiday with Auntie Sandra x

That's all from me for today but I'll be back with you all on Sunday morning to share another card that I've recently made, so until then, I hope that you all have a lovely weekend, in spite of the weather xx

I'd also like to add this card into the following challenges:

Foliage And Berries

Hello there,

I'm back again with another CAS card, this time for the 'CAS Christmas Card Challenge.' Their theme this time is 'Foliage and Berries' and here's the card that I've made:

The foliage stamp that I've use is by Crafty Individuals and the sentiment is by Inkylicious.  I embossed a couple of lines along the opposite corner to give the card a little more balance, although it's not that easy to see on the photo.  I water coloured the images using various inks.

That's all from me for today and I hope to be back with you all again very soon xx

Rainbow CAS

Hello there,

How are you all doing today? Good I hope.

I'm here today with a quick post with my make for this month's 'CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.'  Their theme this time around is 'Rainbow Ink Blending' and you must use a stencil.  Here's my card:

I stenciled the rainbow colours through the honeycomb stencil, then stamped over using black VersaFine.  I then lifted the colour from the raindrops using a weak bleach solution.  All the stamps that I've used on this card are by Inkylicious.

Okay, that's all from me for today as I've got lots of jobs that need doing, so I'll see you all again soon.  Until then take care, stay safe and be happy xx
