Well hello there,
It's the 25th of the month already, so time for the very first 'Rudolph Days' challenge of 2022. Here's the card that I've made for the challenge:
I have to say that this is one of my favourite stamps and it's called 'Restful' by Penny Black. I simply stamped it using VersaFine, then heat embossed it to set the ink. Next, I used some Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White paint to colour it. I added extra water to the far field to give a the scene some perspective, then used the paint a little thicker as I got to the bottom of the card. To finish off, I waited until it was dry, then touched up the snow on the fence posts and on the tops of the stones. I also added some snow to the branches of the tree. As I said, I love this stamp as lends itself to being coloured in many different ways and I think it's a beautiful image.
That's all from me for today, so take care of yourselves and stay safe xx

Oh Sandra - thank you. I had an idea for a monthly 8 x 8 calendar page, using a tree as the constant, but changing with the months. You've just provided the basis for 'winter' months, (but I doubt mine would be as super as yours!!).
Love
Maggie (Bendy Yorkite)
PS I especially love the pale/dark field

This is gorgeous Sandra and that Dr. Ph Martin's white really covers the kraft card well, but as with the distance field can be diluted and made more opaque...a really beautiful and atmospheric winter scene! x
Stunning card Sandra,, it really is a fabulous image.

Amazing work, so atmospheric too.
Beautiful winter scene and a beautiful card Sandra and love how you've done the snow and the perspective x. Thank you for the inspiration x.
You are so talented, Sandra! I always struggle with perspective and you've described it beautifully with your different snow tones and I love the detailed snow on the branches and fence. Even your schplatters look perfectly like snow!
I also want to say that I've just caught up and your last post broke my heart. Surely, there will be a special place in hell for people who have - and continue to be - so selfish and thoughtless during this pandemic when we should all be pulling together and caring about each other. Sending love and huge hugs, Darnell
A beautiful card, you have created a wonderful winter scene.
