It's All About The Tags Today

Hello there my friends and followers,

Well, it seems like ages since I last blogged anything but I've been busy making samples for the next CI shows at the beginning of June and I'm still really enjoying the gym three or four times a week, so I'm afraid that blogging has taken a back seat but on the plus side, I'm fitter than I've been in years! ;)  There seems to be very few of us left blogging now and to be honest, I'm not sure how much longer I'll carry on doing it myself.  It's not too bad in the winter when we are stuck in with bad weather but when the sun starts shining, there's so many other things to do and I hate to say it but it's so much easier to post on Instagram than it is spending ages putting a blog post together that only a few people may choose to read.  Anyway, I'll see how I go over the next few months, then make a decision one way or the other.

I'm here today to share a couple of Art Journal pages with you that I made last weekend.  I made them for a challenge but got totally absorbed in what I was doing and I'm pleased with the outcome.  The challenge was to use a tag/tags on an AJ page.  Here's what I made:

Page 1
Page 2
The Double Page Spread

With the exception of the large sentiment and definition stamp, all other stamps that I've used are by Crafty Individuals.  I used Brushos on the background, stencils and also gesso through stencils to give a little texture and contrast in colour.

As I've definitely got lots of Snippets on these pages with the tags and butterflies, I'd like to add my first page to the 'Snippets Playground Challenge'

That's all from me for today and if I don't see you all before, then I'll be back on the 25th of the Rudolph Days Challenge.

Take care of yourselves and stay happy xx

Love your journal pages, looks wonderful and so arty.
Sorry to read your thinking of giving up blogging, but I do understand, I did the same thing awhile back, I post quite rarely now but want to keep my blog going because of the friends I have made over the years, its so sad to see it grind down isn't it. Well I hope you will decide to stick around.xx

Well....I'm just glad you are OK. Tickle to the blog if you have something else to do - give it the old heave-ho. I can't do instagram so I'll miss you, BUT, I'll still love you.

Hi Sandra, your journal pages are fabulous, your images and design are brilliant and love the colour pallet too.
I know just how you feel about blogging, it's so time consuming and I find it difficult to keep up if I've missed a day. I don't have nearly as many folk commenting on my posts now either. I do have Instagram but, only keep it for my coloured pictures and would never dream of putting anything personal on it, and I just hate Facebook. I'll keep going for the time being, I'll be sad if you do decide to stop, but I'll find you on Instagram, take care, Kate x

I definitely know what you mean about blogging...I'm totally dreadful at it, especially now Emma is playing cricket again so we are out 3 evenings a week for training, then games on Saturday and Sundays! I would like to spend time in the garden when the sun comes out too....card making has taken a back seat here!!
I would miss your blog if you stopped, there aren't many of us left but we all know that life can sometimes get in the way.
Your journal pages look fabulous - gorgeous stamping as always.

Fantastic AJ pages Sandra, I love the colours you've used. I know what you're saying about blogging Sandra, I keep forgetting to take photos of the cards I'm making these days, only remembering after I've popped them into the post box. I do seem to be seeing more and more posted on Facebook these days but Instagram is not something I've tried or even got.

Lovely pages Sandra, I really like how you have used all the small tags( also reminded me of stamps I haven't used for a long time too)
I have been really bad at blogging but don't do instagram so will try to keep going although I get very few visitors to my blog now

Wonderful journal pages Sandra! That's very interesting what you say about IG potentially being the way forward for you. Not all of us are keen on other forms of social media, I have friends who steer clear of other platforms and I do see their point of view. I for one do love to read how people make their works of art. But then, I always was a right 'Nosy Nora'!

Your journal pages are wonderful using the CI images and some super background stamping and stencilling in those pretty colours. I am glad that you are visiting the gym and feeling really fit Sandra and I understand that blogging is not as popular as it was but I, and as you can see from the comments, a lot of others would be sad if you left entirely. If you just post occasionally that is better than not at all. I have tried Instagram and I did enjoy interacting with the people there but was finding that I was not able to keep that, this and Facebook going as I would wish as I do like to comment in a bit more detail than just two or three words, so for now I am just sticking with my blog. I have to say that I have become a bit disillusioned with Facebook because of the problem of cloning identities, and to a lesser degree on Instagram does seem to have been happening a lot more recently. x

WOW - absolutely superb AJ pages using up the pretty tags. CI stamps look wonderful on the tags and you've created a really gorgeous background.

My only form of social media is blogging, so I would be sad if you disappeared completely. Was interesting to read comments on here from fellow bloggers. xxx

Fabulous journal pages and you looked liked you enjoyed it x. I enjoyed reading the comments by other bloggers.
As a technique girl I love reading on the blogs how things are made.
Yes time consuming but so rewarding to comment for both parties x.
