Hello there,
I'm here to share with you the remaining samples that I made for the Crafty Individuals shows that were on Create and Craft on February 3rd:
The first two are new samples that I've made and the last one is one that I made a while ago but it's never been used as a sample, so I thought I'd use it as I love the colours.
I don't know about you but I just love anything with butterflies on and they are always so popular in card making.
That's all from me for today and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend xx
Hello there,
As promised, here are the first couple of samples from yesterday's Crafty Individuals shows:
That's all from me for today but I'll be back soon to share more of my samples from this time around xx
Hello there,
I'm here today to share a few sneaky peeks ahead of the Crafty Individuals shows tomorrow on Create and Craft. The shows will be on at 7am and 11am and Jean Hardy will be there sharing her lovely new, and some of her older stamps. Here are just a few sneaky peeks at the samples that I've made and I'll be sharing them in full once the shows have aired.
Hello there,
After writing my first blog post in ages yesterday, I took a look at a few challenges and I remembered how much fun they are to enter. One that I particularly liked was the one over at 'Country View Challenges' and their theme this month is 'Time,' so I decided to make a page in my art journal. This was a great opportunity to get out my 'Somewhere In Time' stamps and one of my new stencils from Visible Image.
Here's the page that I've made:
I started by making a smooshed background With Aqua and Memento Sand and then I went on to stamp with the same colours. I used a dark grey ink to create the stencilled image, then I went around it with the aqua ink. Finally, I make some white splatters which helped to add a little contrast. I thought about just using clock stamps and stencils but decided that this was a little different and I'm happy enough with the finished result, so I'm adding it to the challenge.
I would also like to add this page to the challenges at:
'Time Out Challenges.' 'Challenge 230 - Inspired By Words'
‘Pearly Sparkles Challenge - ‘No Patterned Paper’
Try It On Tuesday - 'In With The New' New Stencil
Enjoy your day xx
Hello there my crafty friends and a very belated Happy New Year to you all.
How are you all doing? Good I hope. I don't have the time to blog as much as I used to but I've decided that I will do the occasional blog post and see what you've all been up to.
I've spent the last few weeks making samples for Crafty Individuals and trying to get my craft room sorted. I'm well on the way with that now and I only have a few more drawers left to sort out. My aim is to have all of my most used stamps close to hand so that I know exactly where they are when I need them. As always, I feel very ashamed about the amount of stamps that I have that have never seen an ink pad. You know how it is, we think we can't live without them and then it turns out that we probably could. I'm sure that like me, you all have your favourites that you go to most of the time.
I'm still keeping up with going to the gym and I now take between six and eight classes each week, so not much time for anything else but I feel that it's important to look after myself as I'm not getting any younger lol!
I've made a card this week inspired by my crafting friend Isa. She made one in one of her online classes and although I didn't see the class, I loved the card that she'd made and had a go at one myself. Here's the card:
I used a worn paint background stamp onto a square piece of white card before cutting it into strips. I rubbed over all the edges with my ink pad before sticking them all together again on a piece of black card. I then stamped the pretty flowers by Crafty Individuals and added some white paint in just a few places. I realised that in future, it would be far better to stamped the flowers before I cut out the strips and this would also ensure that they all went back into the right place, but hey ho, we live and we learn don't we. Finally, I stamped out the butterfly which is by Katzelkraft and painted it with Distress inks. It's a pretty card and it's one more for my card stash.
I have quite a few new stamp sets from Visible Image which I absolutely love but many of them are Christmas stamps, so I won't be sharing cards made with them until much later on in the year. I also have some new sets from Katzelkraft for my birthday which isn't too far away, so I'm looking forward to having a play with them soon. Right then, I think that's about all from me for today so take good care of yourselves and I hope it's not too long before I'm back with you all again xx
